If you are into gaming, you must have heard of NVIDIA. The GPU manufacturer is known for bringing Ray Tracing to the mainstream and recently made news after it terminated the $40 billion deal to acquire ARM.

That said, NVIDIA often releases driver updates every once in a while for a wide range of products. Unsurprisingly, the developers released updated versions of NVIDIA Studio Driver and NVIDIA Game Ready Drivers.

In case you are unaware, the Game Ready drivers are designed to provide the best experience possible and allow you to optimize your graphic settings with just a single click.

But according to recent reports, many say they are facing FPS drops and stuttering issues after updating to NVIDIA Game Ready drivers 512.59 (1,2,3,4,5).

Users say the problem is making games unplayable at best, with the 1% lows dropping to under 30 FPS quite often and making games stutter. Some also say their overall average FPS has dropped as well.

This driver including 512.15, on my legion 5 pro 3070 5800h win11 makes every game unplayable. I get stuttering, black flickering in game only, and weired black artifacts. If i set the fps to max 60 the issue kinda disappears but it is unacceptable. Driver 512.15 fixed the restart when opening the lid and introduced support for NIS and DLDSR on lenovo 5 pro which had issues. But i can’t use these features and i had to go back to 511.79 where I have the old issues and no dldsr/nis. I expect this driver to fix the issues from 512.15 But it doesn’t. I hope you guys plan to fix this asap.

Ever since I updated my driver, I’ve been getting nothing but massive frame drops when ever I move my cursor a lot. For example, I play osu! and that requires me moving my cursor. Now after this version its impossible to play since I get nothing but frame drops. This also happens in Valorant. I move my cursor and I get massive frame drops. Any way to rollback to the version before this or fix this now!
