NAKIVO releases Backup & Replication v10.6 [Sponsored]

My good friends at NAKIVO shared the news that they released version 10.6 of their product Backup & Replication. This is a short blogpost to highlight the new features and improvements. Stay tuned for a more in depth coverage soon!

NAS Backup

Back up file shares or specific file share folders as well as recover the entire share, specific folders, or files. NAS Backup from NAKIVO supports backup and backup copy of file shares on NAS devices as well as Windows and Linux file servers via NFS and SMB (CIFS) protocols.

Microsoft 365 Groups backup

Protect Exchange Online and SharePoint Online groups against data loss and extended downtime. Back up and restore group mailboxes (including mail, files, and OneNote folders) and group sites (including document libraries, lists, and subsites).

Hardened AMI

The Hardened AMI (Amazon Machine Image) feature offers an efficient way to protect business data against ransomware and accidental deletion. Deploy the solution as an AMI running Ubuntu Server to make the backups immutable against modification, deletion, or encryption by ransomware.

External Database Support

Sometimes, the built-in database in NAKIVO Backup & Replication can get overloaded in large environments, causing notable workflow disruption and delays. The newly added capability allows you to use an external database with the solution to make data protection even more reliable for large-scale infrastructures.

Backup from HPE Nimble Storage Snapshots

Backing up VMs from regular snapshots can take a lot of time and impact the performance of the production environment. The new feature allows you to back up and replicate your VMware VMs hosted on a Nimble storage device from storage snapshots instead of regular VM snapshots to save time and system resources.
