#Laradir #Laravel #developer #directory #home, originally launched in 2022, has been acquired by Simon Hamp, a Laravel developer and active community member. On the acquisition, Simon said:

I’ve spoken to many in the community over the years about a potential directory of engineers. It always seems to be that side-project everyone thinks about starting, but no one ever manages to get the time to bring it to a reality. Thankfully, David and the team at Creagia did, and I’m excited to be taking over the project.

Right now, it’s pretty simple—it’s good, but I think it can do so much more. I’m planning to make this super powerful tool for helping both developers and teams.

Laradir is designed as a “reverse” job board. Meaning you won’t see job listings. Instead of companies posting jobs, developers post their profiles, and teams can filter profiles down to those that meet their exact requirements.

Do you need a developer in a specific place, a freelancer, or a strong senior with Laravel & React skills? Or maybe someone with Vue experience, Livewire, Statamic, or Magento? With Laradir you can find the perfect match in seconds.

Build your shortlist and start messaging with developers straight away!

Coming soon, registered teams can also create their own profiles so developers can find them and reach out. It will be a great way to give your team more visibility in the community and share more about why it’s great to come work with your company.

Teams subscriptions are discounted at just $599 for the year during the relaunch. Simon says this will be going up in 2024, but if you lock in at this price before the end of the year, he’s guaranteeing that it will renew at the same price again next year.

Simon is also planning to add a lot more features for developers. You can now create a profile and add your skills and availability, links to your social profiles, etc. But he’s planning to add more functionality to help make creating and elevating your profile even easier.

I’ve felt the struggle from both sides: both as a developer looking for work and as the hiring manager looking for the perfect candidates. So I know exactly what I would look for in a service to make life easier for both sides. But I’m super keen to get more feedback and ideas from the community—I want this to be a tool that helps you, whoever you are, whatever level you’re at with Laravel.
